Aquinas College, a Catholic Tertiary Residential College in North Adelaide, was established in 1950. A thriving community, providing accommodation to 180 young women and men from Australia and overseas, our residents are predominantly undertaking undergraduate studies in a variety of courses at the University of Adelaide, University of South Australia and Flinders University.
With a long and proud history, in 2025 we will celebrate 75 years of providing outstanding accommodation to thousands of university students. The years spent at university are very special ones, and the opportunities that you will be provided at Aquinas will only enhance and enrich your university experience. When you live at Aquinas you are not simply coming to a place to eat and sleep. You are joining a special family and will make lifelong friendships, experience academic and pastoral support, enjoy cultural and sporting opportunities and live in beautiful surroundings.
Aquinas prides itself on being a vibrant and engaging community, a community in which residents enthusiastically embrace the many activities and events that typify College life and live by our values of Academic Excellence, Family Spirit, Respect, Faith and Justice.
Our College motto – Lucere et Ardere, translated from the Latin, is ‘to shine and burn’. It is taken to mean, “to enlighten with knowledge and enliven with faith.” In short, we want our residents to flourish! Aquinas delivers a comprehensive and supportive tertiary residential experience.
I hope you will come to know Aquinas as your ‘home away from home’.
