Academic Report

The academic program at Aquinas College began strongly in 2017 with a number of initiatives designed to support students with their university studies.  Under the leadership of Senior Academic Tutors, Eloise Vaughan and Sally Terrett, over twenty five different tutorial groups were organised to help the first year students navigate their way through core subjects.

Monday night was designated “Academic Night” to help students be organised each week and this initiative has been supplemented in Semester Two by the introduction of Monday night “Study Hall” which enables students to develop strong study habits.

A range of guest speakers addressed Formal Tea this year on a number of different topics, many of whom reminisced fondly on their time at Aquinas whilst sharing insights gained over long professional careers.

Work continued into improving the various study spaces around the College and expanding the Aquinas library into a valuable resource.  Much credit must be given to Sally and Eloise for their passionate pursuit of academic excellence at Aquinas as we strive to offer a program which supports and assists our students in their university studies.
