Application Process

To apply to participate in the 2022 Senior Mentoring Program at Aquinas College, you will need to complete a formal Letter of Application along with an up-to-date version of your professional CV (also known as your resume).

Examples of both these documents are available below, and the exercise is designed to help you become acquainted with the formal job application process. It’s a good idea to create a new folder on your computer named Job Applications and create sub-folders entitled Professional CV and Professional Cover Letters.

Suggested headings:

Profile (brief summary of your field and career aspirations)

Education (most recent first; Tertiary then Secondary Schooling)

Professional Experience (this should relate to your future career; placements, internships or related-work should be included here)

Employment History (this should be a brief list of the other jobs you have held)

Certificates and other qualifications

Achievements & Awards/Community Involvement/Volunteering

Referees (include the names, position, company, email and phone for three referees. Always check that they are happy to be your referee!)
