Art Show, Rector’s Cocktail Party and Parents’ Weekend
It was great to see so many parents at the Art Show and Rector’s Cocktail Party on Saturday 11 May.
Gleeson House was abuzz on the night with students, parents and staff all coming together to celebrate the talent of the Aquinas students displaying their art. It was a great chance for parents to meet each other for the first time, and in some cases, reacquaint themselves, with the parents of their son’s and daughter’s friends.
The night was a happy one, with everyone enjoying some drinks and delicious food at the Rector’s Cocktail Party, followed by dinner at a local Hotel.
Art Show student organiser, Student Club Secretary, Callum Judd did an excellent job leading up to and on the night.
With such excellent art, it was difficult for the judges to decide on a winner. The talented Mila Klarich was awarded the Rosie Pike Award for Artistry by alumnus, Lauren Pike, representing the Pike Family. The People’s Choice Awards were won by sophie Farrugia and Ella Bauze.
