Collegiate Dinner honours 2023 academic achievements.
All Aquinas students dressed up in their academic gowns to attend this special Collegiate Dinner to welcome the new Academic Year and to celebrate the results of high-achieving students from Semester 2, 2023. Special guests joining students and staff at the Collegiate Dinner and Awards ceremony included the Archbishop of Adelaide, Patrick O’Regan, the Chair of the Independent Schools Commission, Mr. John Neate, the SA Director of Catholic Education SA, Dr Neil McGoran, Partner School representatives Ms. Michelle Coote, Tenison Woods College, Mr. Damian Smith Caritas College and Aquinas College Councillors Ms. Kate Critchley and Mr. Bruce Debenham.
Faculty Prizes went to Abbey Dyson (Nursing), Eddie Grover and Will Vaughan(Engineering), Montana Foster (Medicine), Caitlin Letizia ( Business), Taya Foster and Esther Falting (Allied Health), Ella Dunbar( Arts), Danielle Hill ( Nursing) and Emily Dawe and Charlie Molan (Education)
Our Partner School Scholarship winners were also acknowledged . These scholarships, valued at $5000, are awarded to one student from each of our regional partner schools. The student with the highest ATAR over 95 attending Aquinas receives this scholarship. We were pleased to have Ms Michelle Coote and Mr Damian Smith in attendance to present the Scholarships to Lilah Hill (Caritas College), Braden Windsor (St Joseph’s School Port Lincoln) and Aslin Spolding (St Mark’s College).
Special Prizes were presented as follows:
Kennedy Family Prize for top returning junior: Danielle Hill
Brother Austin Stephens Prize: top returning senior: Montana Foster
Father C.P. Finn Prize for top returning fourth year student: Rylee Snook
The main prize for the Dux of College, receiving the Aquinas Medal and Bessie Greenland Prize was Montana Foster.
