International Women’s Day at Aquinas
International Women’s Day is a day at Aquinas where we celebrate all women and especially female role models that have shaped and impacted all of our lives.
Starting the day with a pancake breakfast on the Sports court and finishing with Formal Dinner, the high point of the day was an address by the Dean and Vice-Rector, Carolyn Mee on the importance of marking the day. That Carolyn was also the first female President of Aquinas in 1991, her speech was all the more special. As so many students have requested a copy of the speech, we share it here and celebrate how fortunate Aquinas is to have a female Dean and Vice-Rector of the calibre of Carolyn.
