Students support Adelaide’s homeless
Aquinas students were out in large numbers on a cold, blustery morning to support the annual ‘Walk A Mile in my Shoes’ experience promoted by the Hutt Street Centre on 9 August.
The College’s Outreach Coordinator, Alisha Rout, who organised the Aquinas contingent was delighted with this year’s turnout.
“It was great to see the number of Aquinians who supported this event,” said Alisha.
She added that over 800 community service hours have already been registered by her fellow students.
Aquinas has a long relationship with Hutt Street, including participation in the annual “Walk A Mile in my Shoes” and personal involvement in its services.
The Outreach Program is a central part of the Aquinas program, aimed at enhancing the social conscience and engagement of its students.
