A long and hot 29 degree day at HTC Tennis
Our second HTC for 2026 was Tennis, held on Sunday, 22nd of March on the Adelaide University Lawn Tennis Courts.
In the lead-up to Tennis, there was no shortage of eager players taking to the courts, showcasing impressive talent during trials, which made team selection especially challenging.
We opened the day against Lincoln College, narrowly going down 2–3 in a closely contested match that featured two tiebreak losses. The team responded strongly in the following rounds, securing convincing wins against St Ann’s and Flinders.
Our final match was against St Mark’s. Despite a series of hard-fought games, we unfortunately fell just short.
A huge congratulations to all team members, who demonstrated great versatility by stepping into different matches throughout the day. The teamwork and sportsmanship on display were truly admirable, and the constant encouragement shown towards our players reflected the strength of the Aquinas community we are proud to be a part of.
