Aquinas wins HTC Volleyball again!
On the 30th of August HTC Volleyball took place at the YMCA leisure centre in Marion. The squad had been working very hard in the lead-up, completing numerous trials and training sessions to prepare for the event.
The day started well, with Aquinas securing confident wins against St Ann’s and Lincoln Colleges, taking out the first two sets of both games and setting the tone for a successful day ahead. There were strong skills on display, with coach James Kay leading by example, with his extraordinary dominance across the whole court. Oliver Wood put on a standout performance in the front court, showcasing powerful hitting and blocking, while Summer Smith also performed well, being consistent all day with awesome setting.
High vibes and relentless energy continued into the second half, as Aquinas went undefeated against Flinders and St. Mark’s to take win the HTC Volleyball.
Aquinas’ supporters, in typical fashion, brought the noise and created an awesome atmosphere the whole day.
