HTC Tennis, a long and hot day, rewards Aquinas with a second place!

As per usual the grass courts at Adelaide University were a sea of red, black, and white as all of Aquinas showed out to support the first HTC event of the year.

Our tennis team started the day well with a win over Lincoln College. The momentum continued with a solid win over Flinders Hall. As the day heated up, Aquinas faced a very strong St Ann’s team and was sadly unable to fend off the loss. Spirits were raised when drawing with St Mark’s College with the sets locked at 2 all, with the decider being the Women’s Singles, with all pressure being placed on the shoulders of our Tennis Coach and Captain, Abigail O’Sullivan. Abigail certainly lived up to expectations, playing a very sportspersonship game against her St Mark’s opponent, winning in a tie-breaker and delivering Aquinas with a second place behind St Ann’s.

The final results were St Ann’s first, Aquinas second, Lincoln third, St Mark’s fourth and Flinders Hall fifth.
