Winter Sleepout raising funds for Catherine House
On a cold Friday night in August, 50 Aquinas students gave up their warm and cosy beds to sleep on the multipurpose court to raise awareness for those sleeping rough and funds for Catherine House.
Outreach coordinators Callum Judd and Kirsten Rolt were pleased with the turnout, with Callum commenting that ” Everyone really gets around the winter sleepout, especially as we are helping a local charity like Catherine House which provides crisis, longer-term accommodation, and support services to women experiencing homelessness in South Australia.”
Sleep was fairly hard to achieve and the cold was noticed by all who participated. Well done to everyone for supporting this small show of care.
