HTC 3-peat in 2025!
2025 was an extremely successful year for the students of Aquinas College in relation to the High Table Cup competition against all the Adelaide Colleges. A recap of the year- 6 trophies were came up to the Top of the Hill, including Men’s and Women’s Football, Men’s Soccer, Men’s Basketball, Volleyball and Athletics. When we were not victorious, Aquinas consistently placed 2nd or 3rd, showcasing the variety of ability we have here at College.
HTC Football in Term 2 was one of the biggest highlights we had as a College for the year securing the doùble in the Men’s and Women’s Teams. To top it all off both Teams were undefeated throughout the whole tournament and this was the third year in a row that the Men’s Team had won.
At the conclusion of HTC Athletics, the last sport of the year, we had the honour of receiving the Douglas Irving High Table Cup, crowning Aquinas as High Table Cup winners for 2025. We have had one of the best years and are thankful for the opportunity to lead the College through HTC as we know it’s one of the most loved aspects of the year for students.
Congratulations to Alice Tentye for winning Female Sportsperson of the Year and Jackson Bowden for winning Male Sportsperson of the Year.
A massive thank you and congratulations to everyone who played, coached or supported at all 11 HTC sports. We cannot wait for next year and to watch Aquinas shine in yet again another successful year of HTC, and fingers crossed bring home the 4peat.
